Dr. Job ter Haar is a cellist and artistic researcher. At Codarts he works as a research supervisor and as a teacher. For RASL he is developing new forms of education, focusing on the role of music and musicians in transdisciplinary collaborations.
As a cellist, he studied at the Royal Conservatory in The Hague with Anner Bijlsma. This led to a career in contemporary chamber music and historical performance. In 2019 he received a PhD from the Royal Academy of Music in London (London University) for his research about the playing style of Alfredo Piatti, a nineteenth-century cello virtuoso.
