About This Project
Brie Code – Tru Luv
Brie Code is the CEO and creative director of TRU LUV, a Toronto-based studio that makes AI companions. The companions (apps that feel like friends in your iphone) of TRU LUV are built on a framework of deepening friendship, not increasing challenge or complexity, to help you relax and grow. According to Tru Luv they are key part of the future of interactivity. TRU LUV’s first companion, #Self Care, is one of Apple’s Best of 2018 Trends of the Year Selection.
Brie Code spent 2016-2018 traveling to consult with game studios, speak at art and games and tech events and discuss interactive media with artists, psychologists, social entrepreneurs, game developers and people who find video games boring. During that time she had ad column at GamesIndustry.biz and mentored students in interactive media at the Filmakademie Baden-Wurrtemberg. Brie Code continues to have a focus on supporting emerging game development communities in the Middle East and North Africa.
Previously she was a lead AI Programmer at Ubisoft on the soft, ethereal game Chilf of Light and three Assassin’s Creed games. She’s on multiple social media and has featured in multiple publications.
